GRANTSVILLE GETS USDA GRANT FOR WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS

The Town of Grantsville has been awarded a grant to make improvements on their water system by the USDA Rural Development Fund.

State Director Bobby Lewis the director, approved a Water and Waste Disposal Grant of $258,000 for the town.

Rural Development funds will be used to make various improvements to the water system.

These improvements include the construction of a 300,000 gallon water storage tank, installation of approximately a mile of waterline, and other necessary appurtenances.

This is a subsequent grant to cover a $258,000 construction overrun.

The initial funding for this project is a Rural Development American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) loan of $1,075,000 and an ARRA grant of $55,000.
