FORMER SUTTON POLICE CHIEF CHARGED

The former police chief of Sutton is facing charges. 25-year-old Anthony Charles Campbell is charged with petit larceny and giving false information to the WV State Police, both misdemeanors. State Police say that while Campbell was employed as chief he confiscated a gun during a call. Campbell allegedly sold the gun at a later time to another officer. He has been released on bond. State Police are continuing the investigation.
