WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Birthday Party Ends With Two Killed

(11/25/2011)
SHOOTING DEATHS AT BIRTHDAY PARTY - Authorities have charged a Raleigh County man with fatally shooting two people at a birthday party at his residence.

Media reports are saying that 29-year-old Jessie Suttle was arrested in Dunbar following the double shooting, and is being held at the South Central Regional Jail on first-degree murder charges. The Raleigh County Sheriff's Department says the shootings happened Tuesday night at Suttle's residence on Mill Creek Road on the Raleigh-Fayette county line.

Sheriff Steve Tanner said Suttle was hosting a birthday party for his younger brother when a fight broke. Suttle is charged with shooting 18-year-old Landon Williams and a 16-year-old juvenile with a semi-automatic rifle.

The sheriff says Williams died at the scene. Police believe the juvenile was a bystander who was hit by a stray bullet. He died a few hours later at a local hospital.

MAN ARRESTED FOR SHOOTING GUN - A man was arrested for firing an assault rifle near a road on one of the busiest driving days of the year, according to St. Albans police.

They say 25-year-old Daniel Satterfield was arrested for shooting the rifle under and overpass, saying he was target shooting.

Satterfield was arrested for firing the gun within 500 feet of a home. He's spent Thanksgiving at South Central Regional Jail.
