UPDATE: FLOODING HITS REGION - Highways Blocked, Flood Warnings Issued, Courthouse Closed Wednesday

Water is blocking several main highways in Calhoun and several secondary roads Tuesday night, with the NWS predicting flood conditions through the night.

Flood water is expected to crest under Grantsville's flood stage of 36 feet.

The NWS says flood stage at 23 feet at Glenville will be reached and possibly a foot above by 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Route 16 at Arnoldsburg and south of Arnoldsburg toward Orma and Minnora is closed late Tuesday night.

Route 5 east of Grantsville near Hog Knob Hill, water is across the road.

Route 7 (Russett Road) is closed.

Numerous other secondary roads have water.

Water is slightly in the road at Cain's Riffle west of Grantsville late Tuesday night.

Official Flood Warnings have been issued for Calhoun County and other regional counties until 4 a.m. Wednesday.

The Calhoun Courthouse will be closed Wednesday.
