DRIVER KILLED IN CLAY COUNTY CRASH - Victim Identified

(11/23/2011)
UPDATE - Police have identified Jason Legg as the victim of a car crash at Procious, Clay County, yesterday.

Friends of the youth pastor are mourning his death, according to WSAZ-TV:

"It's just not going to be the same," Andy Stevens said. "The emotions when I heard, it was just a wide range. Confusion. Anger. Joy in a way. You don't think of that when you hear of a tragedy like this, but just to know he's in a better place than we are."

Legg served as the Children's Pastor at the Christian Fellowship Church in Nitro, but he also spent countless hours volunteering his time to help local young folks.

"As far as giving back to the community, I don't know if I'll meet someone who wanted to give back more," Stevens said.

"There are so many things. First, a disciple of Jesus. Second, a father and a husband. A teacher, a coach, a referee, a children's pastor. It just goes on and on." ORIGINAL STORY - At least one person is dead after a single vehicle crash in Clay County on Elk River Road about 2 p.m. today.
