Kingwood physician Dr. Tim Miller, former Calhouner, said he was poking around a 1929 Calhoun Chronicle to see if I could see anything about the stock market crash of 1929.
He said, "Precious little was said about it," but he did run across a full page ad (rare for the Chronicle at
that time) about the football game with Calhoun High's "ancient enemy."
Unfortunately, despite all the support, the Red Devils lost.
