Margaret Elizabeth Cunningham, 96 - Grantsville

Margaret Elizabeth Cunningham, 96, of Grantsville, West Virginia, died Sunday, November 13, 2011.

Born in Braxton County WV, she was the daughter of William Russell and Dora Cain Knight.

She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Friends of Minnie Hamilton, VFW, Order of Eastern Star #73, Sunny Cal Gals Red Hat Society and for several years enjoyed participating in the CCCOA's Senior Citizens Center.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jane Cunningham of Gilmer County, WV and Winchester, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Leanna Sue and Raymond Jobin of Raleigh NC; four grandchildren, Greg and wife Cindi Cunningham, Angie and husband Steve Pforr, Christopher Cunningham and Pam Isaacson, and Jennifer Jobin; five great grandchildren, Jessica and husband Jeremy Dove, Courtney and Nicholas Cunningham, Adam and Alyssa Pforr; 1 sister, Myrtle Powell of Dover, Ohio; sister-in-law, Pearl Shellhorn of Wooster, Ohio; brothers-in-law Harold Beall of North Canton, Ohio and Harry and wife Rosa Belle Cunningham of Glenville, WV.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Gerald "Cap" Cunningham and infant son Roger as well as 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Margaret chose to donate her body to science at WV University.

There will be a Celebration of Life Reception in her honor at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19 at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Social Center.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Braxton/Calhoun/Gilmer County Hospice Care WV or or The Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
