TWO ACCIDENTS ON RAIN-SLICK ROADS

Two accidents caused a response Tuesday evening following a sprinkling of rain.

A 26-year-old driver went over an embankment on Town Hill Road, just off State Rt. 16 north of Grantsville Tuesday night at 6:46 p.m..

Emergency services responded to extract the quadriplegic man, who was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Smith complaining of back pain.

The Grantsville VFD and Calhoun EMS responded to the incident.

The Grantsville VFD responded at 4:17 p.m. to a single vehicle accident on Hog Knob Hill, where the driver escaped injury.

The vehicle reportedly went into the hillside on a stretch of highway that frequently sees accidents.
