WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Man Attempts Two Hold-Ups In One Night

PARKERSBURG STABBING - 23-year-old Jesse J. Stratton of Pennsylvania was arrested after police say he stabbed Blennerhassett hotel employee Bert Fleming.

Parkersburg Police reported that Stratton was under the influence of an undetermined substance when he stabbed the hotel employee.

Stratton was charged with one felony count of malicious wounding, posting #10,000 bond and released.

Stratton was a guest of the hotel with a group when the incident took place.

Bert Fleming has been treated and released, suffering a cut to his head.

RALEIGH ARMED HOLD-UP - The Raleigh County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men who apparently robbed Kay's in Daniels.

Police say two men wearing hoodies, sweatpants, and black bandannas around their faces went into the store pulled a gun and demanded money. No one was injured.

MORGANTOWN HOTEL HOLD-UP - Morgantown Police are reporting an armed robbery at the Euro Suites hotel on Chestnut Ridge 2:30 a.m. Friday.

The suspects were described as two African-American males, according to a news release from the Morgantown Police Department.

The suspects drove off in a dark colored sedan.

MEN HOLD UP NAIL SHOP - Police are looking for two men who allegedly robbed the Top Nail women's salon in Teays Valley Friday morning.

Officials say two men who were described as Asian entered the salon in the Liberty Square shopping center and brandished a weapon.

MAN ATTEMPTS TO ROB TWO PLACES - A Sissonville man is in jail after police say he tried to rob two different places to help support his prescription medication habit.

58-year old John Columbus Beane II began his attempted robbery spree first at the Husson's Pizza in Sissonville where he walked in with a shotgun.

Police say his face was covered with a ski mask and white sunglasses when he pointed the gun at one employee telling him to stay seated on the floor while he tried to open the cash register.

He didn't get any money though, and ran off.

Beane was persistent, for a short time later he walked into Linda's Bar in Sissonville with the same disguise.

He pointed the gun at the bartender and demanded money.

A bar patron approached Beane and began struggling with him, then other patrons assisted in getting that gun away from him and holding him down until police arrived.

He is charged with armed robbery and felony assault and is in the South Central Regional Jail.
