MURDERER OF SPENCER MAN PLEADS TO LESSER CHARGE |

| The trial for a Mason County man charged with the murder of Spencer resident Kenneth Glenn Boggs, 44, has been averted following the reaching of a plea agreement. Greg Duane Leach, 21, pled guilty to second degree murder in Roane Co. Circuit Court, according to Spencer Newspapers. He would have gone on trial next week with a charge of first degree murder and first degree sexual assault. Leach beat Boggs to death in January, 2010, he suffered a broken neck, fractured ribs, cuts, bruises and severe bruising to the groin.
