Blanca Gema Martinez, 55 - Spencer

Blanca Gema Martinez, 55, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Monday, November 7, 2011 at home, after a short illness.

She was born in Cuba, a daughter of the late Oscar and Lucia Rodriguez Pedraja. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Lucy Pedraja.

Blanca was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Spencer. She and her sister, Ana operated the Orange Blossom in the Spencer Antique Mall.

Survivors include her husband, Mario Martinez of Spencer; three children, Mark Martinez of Spencer, Myra Martinez of North Bay Village, FL and Gabriella Martinez Baer of Cincinnati, OH; sister and brother-in-law, Ana and Prisco Radcliff of Cincinnati, OH; brother and sister-in-law, Oscar T. and Ingrid Pedraja of Miami Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Raven and Bria Martinez.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Spencer, with Rev. Fr. Tom Chacko as Celebrant. Rosary will be recited Friday at 8:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer.

Memorial donations may be made to the Altar Society, c/o Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 602 Parkersburg Rd., Spencer, WV 25276.
