| Virgie M. Frederick, 93, of Big Springs, WV, died June 4,
2002 at Minnie Hamilton Health Care, Grantsville WV.
She was born October 25, 1908 in Big Springs, the daughter of the late Thomas H.
and Bertha Metz Richards.
She was a waitress at Bower Restaurant, Grantsville for several years and she
was a member of Hoy Chapel United Methodist Church, Big Springs.
She is survived by three daughters, Edna M. Jarvis of Grantsville, and Eva Jean
Sams and Lillian Frederick both of Big Springs; four sons, Dallas R. Frederick of
Nobe, WV, Denzil H. Frederick of Volga, WV, George H. Frederick of Big Springs
and Roger F. Frederick of Weston, WV; one sister, Edith Fluharty of Harrisville, WV; 19
grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Frederick; three
brothers, Leonard Richards, Thomas Richards Jr. and Robert "Bud" Richards; four
sisters, Dollie Dye, Eula Postelwait, Fern Anderson and Zona Sims; and one
grandson, Darren Frederick.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Raiguel Funeral Home,
Harrisville with Rev. Carroll McCauley and Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial
will follow in the Ellenboro Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m.
Thursday and 9-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. |
