Margaret Ellen Walker Keaton, 69 - Spencer

Margaret Ellen Walker Keaton passed on November 5, 2011, after an extended illness. She was born August 19, 1942 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Rev. Orville F. and Ruth Naomi Weaver Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ann Boyd and her daughter, Crystal Lynn. Margaret was a graduate of Glenville State College with a degree in accounting. She was vice president and part owner of Hays and Company Oil and Gas Accounting Firm, Spencer. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Larry; two sons, Gregory Scott Keaton and Michael Anthony Keaton both of Spencer; six grandchildren, Amanda Dawn Feliciano of Columbus OH, Nathaniel Ryan Keaton of Cleveland OH, Nicholas Riley Keaton, Lee Michael Keaton, and Samuel Jack Keaton all of Spencer, Abby Layne Keaton of Charleston; one great granddaughter, Kyra Hanes of Columbus OH. After her family, Margaret's greatest joy was her dogs. She was a lifelong dog lover, sparing no time or expense for their well-being. Her wishes were to be cremated and there will be no formal funeral ceremony. She requested that for those who wish, a donation to the Roane County Animal Shelter, 2550 Parkersburg Road, Spencer, WV 25276, would be both appropriate and appreciated. John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
