Emergency services quickly responded and
administer care to bike rider on Rt. 5

A 59-year-old man was injured Monday evening on Rt. 5 west of Grantsville near Carroll Road when his motorcycle crashed into a ditch-line.

The man reportedly suffered fractures to his leg and possible other injuries in the accident.

A chopper was unavailable and he was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville, and will be transferred to a medical center for treatment of his fractures.
