CALHOUN MAN SENTENCED FOR DRAGGING POLICEMAN DOWN STREET - Calhoun Trio Have Drug Charges In Roane

A Calhoun man who was on trial for dragging a Spencer policeman down the street with his car, will spend four months in jail before he finishes a sentence on home confinement, according to Spencer Newspapers.

Aaron Lloyd, 25, of Jesse's Run, was sentenced by Judge David Nibert to 120 days in a regional jail other than Central Regional, since Lloyd is a witness in a murder case involving Seth Denmark. Denmark is being held at that facility.

Lloyd was involved in an incident with Denmark, with Denmark allegedly shooting him in the leg.

- Former Spencer resident Douglas Marks, 38, who now lives in Calhoun, was released on parole. Spencer Newspapers says Marks was placed on home confinement 1-3 years in 2010 for trying to pick up a prescription that his wife, now deceased, had called in to a drug store, representing herself as being from a physician's office.

- A Roane grand jury has indicted Paul H. Hunter, 18, of Arnoldsburg for possession of Fentanyl with intent to deliver. Police discovered that Hunter had seven prescription pain patches and over $1,100 during a traffic stop last May.

- Calhoun resident Allan Ray Nelson, 26, of Chloe, has been charged by police following a auto accident at Newton for DUI-2nd offense and driving while his license was revoked.

Nelson had three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system, according to the Roane County Sheriffs Department, and finding 42 grams of what appeared to be marijuana in his car.
