MILO MAN 'CODES' REPORTEDLY AFTER METHADONE OVERDOSE

(10/08/2011)
A 26-year-old man on Milo Road coded Thursday morning following what was reportedly an overdose of methadone, a drug frequently used to treat addiction.

A 911 call at 11 a.m. indicated the man was having difficulty breathing, but when Calhoun EMS arrived he was unresponsive and had reportedly stopped breathing.

Following CPR efforts by the responders, a report indicated his pulse had returned and he was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville.

State Police cleared a Rt. 16 paving project for the ambulance on the Mt. Zion Ridge, which has generally caused several minutes delay in traffic movement.
