AMY IOVA GROGG - Tanner

Amy Iova Grogg, 91, of Tanner, Gilmer County, WV, died May 31 at the home of her daughter, Peggy Wade at Tanner following a long illness.

Born in Gilmer County, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Artie Westfall Stalnaker. She was a member of the Revere E.U.B. Church.

Surviving are six sons, Rondel Grogg of Oberlin, Ohio, Billy Grogg of Nobe, WV, Jack and Kenny Grogg both of Glenville, WV, Anthony Grogg of Elizabeth, WV and Danny Grogg of Tanner; seven daughters, Lena Ferguson of Lower Salem, Ohio, Deloris Davis and Connie Cogar both of Parkersburg, WV, Katheryn Phillips and Freda Amos both of Vienna, WV, Peggy Wade of Tanner with whom she resided, Dottie Frashure of Buckhannon, WV; a sister, Oval Morgan of Zanesville, Ohio; sixty-one grandchildren, ninety great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leamon Grogg in 1978, six sons, Donal, Edward Marshall, Leon, Fred, Steven and Kevin Grogg; three grandchildren Wayne and Jodie Grogg and Pamela Davis.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV, Reverend Ronzel Roberts will officiate. Interment will be in the Nobe Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
