DRIVER LEAVES SCENE OF WEST FORK CRASH - 18-Year-Old Injured On Rt. 5

Emergency services responded to a truck accident about 11 p.m. Sunday, one-half mile from the Crummies Creek intersection on State Route 16.

With State Police enroute to the scene, the occupants with assistance from others reportedly turned the truck back on its wheels and left the scene traveling south on Rt. 16.

Earlier Sunday night, an 18-year-old female had to be extracted from a vehicle on State Route 5 in Gilmer County.

Gilmer EMS transported the victim to Minnie Hamilton Health System, reportedly with non life-threatening injuries.

Calhoun EMS and the Grantsville VFD dispatched to the scene.
