UPDATE: CAR PLUNGES OVER STEEP HILLSIDE ON BEECH ROAD - Driver Arrested DUI

A male driver with a male passenger plunged over a steep hillside crashing near a residence on Beech Road Thursday night, about one mile from Liberty Hill, US 33-119.

State Police arrested driverLasio Mark Nemeth,50, and charged him with DUI, currently incarcerated in Central Regional Jail.

The passenger was taken to Roane General Hospital by Calhoun EMS with a laceration to the head.

State Police took the driver to Minnie Hamilton Health System for evaluation after he complained of problems.

The Arnoldsburg VFD responded to the accident scene.
