Brenda Mae White, 64 - Amma

Brenda Mae White, 64, of Amma, West Virginia, died Monday, September 26, 2011, at home, after an extended illness. She was born November 19, 1946 at Amma, a daughter of the late Harvey Washington and Sarah Mildred Nichols Cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the grandmother, with whom she lived and who raised her, Maggie Mae Cook. Also, she was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey Warren White in 1967. Brenda was a retired clerk of the Magistrate Court of Roane County and a 1963 graduate of Spencer High School. Survivors include her husband, Larry W. White of Amma; two sons, Matthew White of Elkview and John White of Hurley, VA: five grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Kay Wolford of Amma. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Allen Jones officiating. Burial will be in the G.W. Cook Cemetery, Amma.
