DOCTORS JONES AND HUSSAIN JOIN MHHS STAFF

Minnie Hamilton Health System is pleased to announce the addition of pediatrician Dr. Cathy Jones to the medical staff. Dr. Jones received her Bachelors Degree in Biology from Glenville State College in 1978 and obtained her medical degree from West Virginia University Medical School in 1982. Dr. Jones completed her pediatric residency at West Virginia University Hospital, receiving the honor of Chief Resident in 1984-85.

After completing her residency, Dr. Jones spent four years in the US Air Force having been awarded the Health Professional Scholarship program to pursue her medical career. After two years in Grantsville, she was at Premier Pediatric Clinic in Bridgeport from 1991-2011.

Dr. Jones was the Medical Director at Camp Catch Your Breath from 1991-2010. This summer camp is for youth living with asthma and gives them the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. In her free time, Dr. Jones likes to read, play with her Yorkshire terriers and spend time with her family.

"Although I knew MHHS was a Critical Access Hospital, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of technology the facility has and the number of employees who obviously know their jobs very well," said Jones.

Minnie Hamilton Health System is also pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Roshan Ally Hussain to their staff. Dr. Hussain is Board Certified in Family Practice and has enjoyed several years of success in private practice in Roane County.

Dr. Hussain earned his graduate studies at the University of Toronto and received his medical degree from UTESA in the Dominican Republic in 1991. He completed his residency at Sparrow Family Practice Residency Program from 1993-1996. Dr. Hussain is Board Certified in Family Practice. He has received various honors throughout his career, including recognition for his volunteer service in Toronto and Guyana. Dr. Hussain speaks Spanish as a second language and enjoys gourmet cooking, tennis, jogging, baseball and other outdoor activities. Dr. Hussain is married to Seomatie and has two children Nafeeza and Melanie.

Dr. Hussain is currently seeing patients in the Annex Clinic (Clinic C) at Minnie Hamilton and is looking forward to building his patient base. He will provide home visits to geriatric patients and those who are home-bound. To make an appointment with Dr. Hussain, please call 304-354-9244.
