| Geneva Parsons age 93 of Glenville West Virginia, departed this life at 11:50 a.m., Wednesday September 21, 2011 in the Glenville Care & Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness.MO<
Born July 7, 1918 in Gilmer County, daughter of the late Cleve and Esta Harris Parsons. Mrs. Parsons was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed church services at the nursing home and was a Baptist by faith. On February 2, 1931 she was united in marriage to Delbert "Deb" Parsons, who preceded her in death in January of 1979. Surviving are 13 children, Lenora "Sis" Miller of Glenville, Harry Parsons and wife Jerry of Lockney WV, Hallie Minney and husband Kesley of Sand Fork WV, Cora Kimes of New Haven WV, Wanda Accord of Beckley WV, Patricia Knisley of Spencer WV, Chester Parsons and Madeline Duskey both of Tanner WV, Gretta Peters and husband Paul of Letter Gap WV, Jessie Parsons of Munday WV, Gena "Kay" Peters and husband John of Letter Gap, Steve Parsons and wife Regina of Glenville, and Bobby Parsons of Lockney. There are numerous grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren also surviving. Two brothers and one sister survive, James Harris of OH, Junior Harris of CA, and Arlie Weber of Morgantown WV. Geneva was preceded in death by 1 son Edward Parsons and 1 daughter Pearl Lorraine Parsons. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday September 24 at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. Glenville WV, with Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Community Cemetery in Stumptown WV. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of Geneva Parsons with arrangements.
