CLOSURE OF NEBO POST OFFICE BEING PROTESTED

An effort is being made today at the Nebo Post Office to gather signatures protesting its closing by the US Postal Service. The petition will be available from 4-6 p.m. A public meeting regarding the closure has been set for Monday, October 3 at 6 p.m. at the Nebo Baptist Church. Officials from US Postal will be present. Organizers are encouraging area residences to attend the meeting. So far, no efforts have been made to protest the closure of two Calhoun post offices, Orma and Millstone.
