Larry Estep, 55 - Looneyville

Larry Estep, 55, of Looneyville died September 17, 2011, from injuries received in an ATV accident near his camp on Fairview Ridge in Calhoun County.

He was born February 16, 1956, at Wet Branch on Cabin Creek. He was a member of Bear Fork Hunting Club. He loved to hunt, camp and being in the outdoors. He was a very special person; he had a heart of gold. He was a true friend to everyone that knew him and was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother and son. He also was a loving and adoring husband.

He was preceded in death by son, Charles Keith Estep, who was killed in an oilrig accident in 2008. Also preceding him were father, Curtis Estep; brother, Steve Estep; and nephew, Jimmy Adkins.

Surviving are his loving wife of 31 years, Brenda Hicks Estep of Looneyville; sons, Tommy Estep of Looneyville, and Creed Estep of Looneyville; daughter, Shawna Estep of Looneyville; mother, Opal Dickens Estep of Tanner Creek; brothers, Pat and wife, Cathy Estep of Eskdale, Ronnie Estep of Stumptown, and Terry Estep of Beaver.

Sisters, Brenda Cooper and husband, Gary of Randolph County, Bonnie Adkins of Mt. Zion, Joyce Pettry and husband, Richard of Sand Fork, Geraldine Mace and husband, Danny of Spencer; sisters-in-law, Joyce Gibson and husband, Bobby of Florida, Nancy Kerr and husband, George of Charleston, and Susie George of St. Albans; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Hicks and wife Robbin of Campbells Creek; several nieces and nephews, whom he adored; and very special close friends, Jack Bostic, Larry Cottrell, Leon Snyder, and Doug Woods.

The funeral service was held in Marmet, Burial will follow in Massey Cemetery.
