By Jim Sullivan, Parade Chair

This year we are making some changes to help make the event safer and more orderly and to better get the flow of traffic back to normal as soon as possible after the parade.

Robin King will be the Coordinator of the line up at the Arnoldsburg School. After turning in your line up form you will go to your designated area to wait until a member of the parade team instructs you to join the line. Line-up forms are available at the Arnoldsburg School the day of the event.

The line-up will be as follows:

Group A - State Police or Sheriff
Group B - Parade Marshall's
Group C - Calhoun EMS
Group D - Fire Department Vehicles
Group E - ATV's
Group F - Royalty in Floats
Group G - Royalty in Cars
Group H - All other Floats
Group I - Marching Bands (Bands will be spaced as to not interfere with one another.)
Group J - Antique Cars
Group K - Truck and other vehicles (Not ATV's)
Group L - Horses. (We require proof of negative Coggins test)
Group M - Fire Department Vehicle.

Please read the following instructions on where to go at the end of the parade.

No parade entry will be permitted to turn into the 1st park entrance. Children will be taken off floats after the float is parked behind the Community Building.

Group A - Proceed to the Stump Funeral Home parking lot and wait till horses arrive then escort horses back to School after the parade.

Group B - Turn right at the second park entrance and park behind the community building.

Group C - Proceed to your parking area through the 2nd park entrance.

Group D - Go past the 2nd park entrance to Stump Funeral Home Parking Lot. Wait until traffic clears then park in front of the Fire Department or return to your home Station.

Group E - Turn in 2nd park entrance then take an immediate right. An attendant will instruct you to stay in that area and turn off your ATV until the parade is completely over. Then you may disperse.

Groups F, G and H - Turn into the 2nd park entrance and proceed to the parking area behind the Community Building. After traffic is cleared on Rt 33/119 you may leave the parking area. Remember: Children will be taken off floats after the float is parked behind the Community Building. This is very important due to the danger of taking a child of a moving vehicle.

Group I - Bands will go in 2nd entrance follow your Band Directors to an area behind the Community Building.

Group J, K - If you are going to the festival following the parade turn right at the 2nd park entrance and park behind the community building. If you are not proceed on Rt. 33/119 until you find a place to turn around and get in line of stopped traffic and proceed when traffic is allowed to flow.

Group L - Go past 2nd park entrance toward Stump Funeral home. A State Police or Sheriff Vehicle will escort you back to the Arnoldsburg School.

Your corporation in this matter is greatly appreciated. We hope you have a great, safe time at the 44th Annual Molasses Festival.
