Leading the team in service points was Amber Wilford with 14 points, 2 aces; followed by Jordan Mace 11 points, 4 aces; Brooke Manns 5 points, 2 aces; Kenzie Laughlin 5 points, Shayla Arnold 4 points, Megan Barton 3 points, 2 aces; Rochelle Gerwig 1 point. Setting: Chelsea Hicks 49/56, 19 assist; Stephanie Hall 48/52, 6 assists. Hitting: Wilford 44/48, 18 kills; Mace 15/19, 4 kills; Gerwig 16/17, 2kills; Laughlin 5/6, 1 kill; Barton 4/5, Samantha Church 4/4, Arnold 1/2. Blocks: Wilford 4, Laughlin 1. Digs: Gerwig 11, Manns 9, Church 8, Laughlin 7, Mace 5, Hicks 2. The JV team was defeated by Roane 25-19, 25-10. Katie Roger led the team in service points with 5 points, 1 ace; followed by J'Nae Carter 3 points, 2 aces; Shayla Arnold 3, points, 1 ace; Kayla Church 2 points, Bailie Cain 1 point. The Varsity travels to St. Marys on Tuesday, Sept 13 for a tri match with St. Marys and Doddridge. Both Varsity and JV are in action at home on Thursday, Sept 15. JV play begins at 6:00 p.m.
