The Lady Red Devils opened at home last Thursday, the varsity defeated by Clay 27-25, 25-22, 25-15.

Rochelle Gerwig lead the team in service points with 11 points, 2 aces. Followed by Jordan Mace 3 points, 1 ace; Amber Wilford 3 points, 1 ace; Stephanie Hall 3 points, 2 aces; Shayla Arnold 2 points, Megan Barton 1 points, Chelsea Hicks 1 point.

Setting: Stephanie Hall 36/43, 16 assists; Chelsea Hicks 15/20, 3 assists. Hitting: Amber Wilford 12/14, 8 kills; Sam Church 12/14, 2 kills; Rochelle Gerwig 8/11, 1 kill; Kenzie Laughlin 6/9, 2 kills; Jordan Mace 6/10, 4 kills; Stephanie Hall 2/4, 2 kills. Blocks: Wilford 2, Hall 2.

The JV was defeated by Clay 25-23, 18-25, 27-25.

Leading the JV team in service points was Katie Rogers with 10 points, 1 ace; followed by Kenzie Hicks 9 points, 3 aces; J'Nae Carter 8 points, 2 aces; Bailie Cain 6 points, 3 aces; Shayla Arnold 6 points, 4 aces; Kayla Church 1 point, Megan Barton 1 points, ace.

The varsity team traveled to the Doddridge County Bulldog Invitational Tournament on Saturday, September 3.

In pool play the team defeated St. Marys 25-13, 25-17.

Leading the team with service points was Jordan Mace with 7 points, 2 aces; followed by Rochelle Gerwig 7 points, 1 ace; Amber Wilfrod 7 points, 1 ace; Chelsea Hicks 4 points, 2 aces; Megan Barton 3 points, 1 ace; Brooke Manns 2 points, Stephanie Hall 1 point, 1 ace. Setting: Hall 30/38, 17 assist; Hicks: 11/17, 5 assists. Hitting: Wilford 15/17, 7 kills; Gerwig 9/11, 3 kills; Mace 6/8, 3 kills; Hall 5/5, 2 kills; Sam Church 5/7, 4 kills; Kenzie Laughlin 5/7, 3 kills. Blocks: Wilford 3, Hall 1. The team also defeated South Harrison 25-11, 25-13.

The team was defeated by Gilmer 25-15, 25-6.

Wilford lead the team in service points with 3; followed by Gerwig, Mace, Barton, and Hall with 1 each. Setting: Hall 34/41, 7 assists; Hicks 6/7, 1 assist. Hitting: Wilford 13/18, 3 kills; Mace 8/8, 2 kills; Gerwig 6/7, Church 10/10, Laughlin 6/6, 1 kill; Bailie Cain 3/3, 1 kill; Hall 3/3, 1 kill. Blocks: Hall 1. The team was defeated by Williamstown 25-7, 25-18.

Wilford again lead the team in service points with 5 points, 2 aces; followed by Hall 2, Gerwig 1, Manns, Hicks 1 each. Setting: Hall 23/27, 2 assists; Hicks 10/13, 1 assist; Hitting: Wilford 7/10, 2 kills; Gerwig 7/7, 1 kill; Church 5/6, Laughlin 3/5, Mace 3/3, Hall 8/8, 1 kill. blocks: Hall 2, Wilford 1, Gerwig 1, Laughlin 1. Calhoun returns to action at home on Sept 8 when the Lady Red Devils host Roane County. JV match begins at 6:00 P.M. with varsity match immediately following.
