GLENVILLE POLICE ARREST WOMEN ON DRUG CHARGES - Heroin/Cocaine Could Be Involved

Police in Gilmer County have arrested two women on drug charges.

Officials say Karen Yavona Burns age 48 and Amy Marie Lamarti age 36, have been charged with possession and intent to deliver a controlled substance, possibly heroin and cocaine.

Lamarti was also charged with driving with a suspended license, according to the Gilmer County Sheriff's Department.

Burns was also charged with permitting an unauthorized person to drive, police said.

Lamarti's and Burns' bonds are each set at $250,000.
