Grantsville Police Chief, Jeff Starcher issued the following report for the month of August, 2011. 34 calls for service 122 citizen contacts 4 criminal investigations 1 traffic crash investigation 1 city ordinance violation - dogs running loose Traffic stops - 17 warnings; 9 citations 2 Warrant services 2 Arrests - no insurance; keeping vicious dogs, dogs running at large CITATIONS 8/2/11 - Crystal Bell - speeding 45 in a 25 8/5/11 - Jason Stevens - expired MVI (7/10), expired registration (3/11) 8/13/11 - Dawn Lowery - permitting no operators 8/8/11 - Jacqueline Blankenship - passing in a no passing zone 8/15/11 - Clarance Peck - speeding 48 in 25, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle 8/23/11 - Douglas Harper - speeding 42 in a 25 8/30/11 - Stephen Koreski - speeding 52 in a 25 8/27/11 - James Simmons - driving while license suspended, no insurance 8/24/11 - Raymond Atkinson - no proof of insurance
