Henry Hezekiah Wilson, 77 - Ravenswood

Henry Hezekiah Wilson, 77, of Ravenswood, West Virginia, formerly of Spencer WV, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011, in the Ravenswood Village Center, Ravenswood.

He was born December 23, 1933, at Newton, a son of the late Leonard and Zanie Young Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Tressie Lee Wilson, Katherine Wilson Boggs and Margie Wilson Lingafelter.

Henry was an oil field worker, who was injured at the age of 24 and became disabled at that time. He loved doing things on the family farm, planting and tending a garden, mowing the lawn and he loved hunting and fishing.

Henry leaves behind his beloved nephew, Butch Meadows and wife, Zelma of Ravenswood; a niece, Barbara Ice and husband, Rick of Spencer; two great nephews Jason Meadows and wife, Sherry and their three children, Jace, Zoie and Jett, Justin Meadows and wife, Jami and their two children, Brooke and Tyler all of Ravenswood; one great niece, Angela Ice of Charlotte, NC; nephews, Paul Boggs and wife Nancy of Shenandoah Junction, Mike Boggs and wife Julie of Titusville, FL, Jimmy Boggs of Dunkirk, MD and niece Linda Carpenter and husband Ronnie of Lavonia, GA; his Ravenswood Village Nursing Home family, especially his buddy, Gary George.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 3 at 11:00 a.m. in the Young Cemetery, Linden, with Rev. Darrell Tackett officiating. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Young Cemetery, c/o Carol Board Westfall, 1713 Clay Road, Spencer, WV 25276.

John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
