(08/31/2011)
Judge Larry Whited continues a long road to recovery, having been moved from a Charleston hospital to Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville.

Whited suffered serious injuries in a farm tractor accident at his property near Grantsville on July 31.

Whited suffered multiple trauma, including a fractured hip joint, punctured lung, lacerated liver and broken ribs, with surgery being required to remove part of his colon.

Son Steve Whited said, "He's receiving physical therapy and excited to be in Grantsville and is doing well."

"He has several months of rehabilitation ahead of him and his spirits are good. He enjoys people stopping by."

"He and I, the whole family, appreciate the prayers and support we have received over the past four weeks, including Calhoun EMS, Minnie Hamilton, Air-Evac, CAMC and others involved."

"We would like to thank everyone. We are truly blessed."
