Charleston - Two years ago, Drew Miller out of shape, 80 pounds heavier, and only ran a couple of miles every once in a while.

That's why his friends called him crazy when he decided that he wanted to run across the country, from Long Beach, Calif. to his West Virginia hometown of Spencer -- more than 2,000 miles. He wanted to make the journey to raise donations and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project, a group that aids in the recovery and transition process for disabled returning service members.

Miller, 32, arrived at his checkpoint in Charleston on Saturday, just three days away from getting to the finish line in Spencer. He said he has raised more than $11,000 for the project ...
