Frank "Duane" Carper, 44 - Palestine

Frank "Duane" Carper, 44 of Palestine, West Virginia, passed away August 27, 2011 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.

He was born in Potomic, Michigan November 11, 1966, the son of Frank Lee and Patty Carper.

He was a 1985 graduate of West Preston High School in Masontown WV, was employed by Simonton Windows of Pennsboro WV and was a member of the Little Kanawha Shrine Club currently serving as President of Nemesis Shrine Clown Unit and a member of AF&AM Masonic Lodge Burning Springs #132. Duane, enjoyed 4-wheel riding and being a Shrine Clown.

He is survived by both his parents and his 3 children Alex, Alicia, and Carly Carper all of Palestine; 2 sisters, Denise Watkins of Arthurdale WV; Christine (Tom) Wade of Morgantown WV; grandmother, Lucille Boggs of Arthurdale; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by grandfather, Verlin Boggs; grandmother, Rose Lee Murphy and step grandfather, Jack Murphy.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 30 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with Rev. Charles Leisure officiating. Masonic Graveside Rites will follow services at Hill Grove Cemetery #2.

Visitation will be Monday August 29 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
