WIRT MAN DIES IN AUTO CRASH

A Wirt County man died in a car crash Saturday just off State Rt. 5. 44-year-old Frank "Duane" Carper of Palestine was driving a Chrysler PT Cruiser when he lost control of his vehicle causing it to overturn. Sergeant M. S. Godfrey of the WV State Police says Carper was ejected from the car, apparently not wearing a seat belt. Sgt. Godfrey said the accident appeared to be alcohol related. Carper was transported to Camden Clark Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Funeral arrangements at Matheney-Whited Funeral Home in Elizabeth.
