Anna Lee Beall Glover, 74, of Glenville

Anna Lee Beall Glover, 74, of Glenville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, August 18, 2011, at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg. She was born in Glenville on December 30, 1936, a daughter of the late Hunter B. Beall and Oma Bonnie Brown Beall.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jerry A. Glover, on August 23, 2009. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Hunter Beall; and sister, Eula "Sis" Miller.

She is survived by her son, Jerry A. Glover II and his wife, Rebecca of Piqua, Ohio; her daughter, Elizabeth Wilson and husband, Don of Quiet Dell; three grandchildren, Gabriel Wilson, Jeremy Wilson and Sloane Glover; two special nieces, Pamela Fleming of Parkersburg, and Kathy Miller of Lewisville, N.C.; nephew, Hunter Beall of Weston; and numerous other nieces, nephews and traveling companions.

Anna was a graduate of Glenville High School and attended Glenville State College. She was employed by the WV State Department of Health and Human Resources as a social worker, retiring in 1994 with over 30 years of service, working in Gilmer and Calhoun County.

She was a lifelong active member of the First Baptist Church of Glenville. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, helping numerous friends, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a warm and friendly person and a friend to all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

A celebration of Anna's life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. with a service following on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at the First Baptist Church of Glenville with the Rev. Kenny Fisher presiding.
