BRAXTON BENCH WARRANT ISSUED FOR JOHN TRAVIS SANDY

John Travis Sandy did not appear in Braxton County Circuit Court for a pre-trial hearing. Sandy (pictured left) had been arrested on drug charges in 2010. Judge Richard Facemire granted a request by the Prosecuting Attorney that a bench warrant be issued for Sandy's arrest. He further ordered the Clerk to notify all area law enforcement agencies and the Magistrates of the Court ruling. State Troopers in Braxton County seized more than 20 pounds of marijuana in 2010, involving three members of the Sandy family from the Rosedale area. State Police had earlier found a meth lab and several marijuana plants, and arrested Timmy Lee Sandy and John Travis Sandy.
