| The WV State Police from Calhoun and Clay and the Calhoun Sheriff's Department responded to a 911 call at 10:20 a.m. Thursday regarding shots fired.
A 911 caller reported three shots fired, and a voice saying "Don't shoot! Don't shoot!"
The incident was on Pond Run off Mud Fork Road near Stinson, State Rt. 16.
Calhoun Control, following up on the call, discontinued the response after a resident of the dwelling indicated the shots were being fired related to a deer and a dog.
The State Police are investigating the incident.
