Timothy L. Kyer 52 - Moorefield

Timothy L. Kyer 52, of Moorefield, West Virginia, passed away Saturday August 13, 2011 at Winchester Medical Center in Virginia.

He was born August 18, 1958 in Wirt County the son of the late Garlen and Efiba (McClung) Kyer.

He was a 1976 graduate of Wirt County High School, and was an electrician for Purceville Electric in Purceville VA.

Before moving to Moorefield he owned and operated a sawmill in the Wirt County area. He was a National Lumber Grader, graduating from Memphis Tennessee Hardwood Lumber.

He loved Nascar racing cooking on the grill and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Becky Kyer; 2 children, Nicole and Joshua Kyer of Beuna Vista VA; 3 stepchildren, Daniel, Dustin and Lindsey; 3 sisters, Carolyn Thorn of Elizabeth WV, Lois Collins (Cecil) of Felicity OH and Donna Wells (Ted) of Palestine WV; 2 brothers, Doren Kyer (Shirley) of Felicity OH and Richard Kyer of Parkersburg WV; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 brother-in-law, Carl Thorn.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 19 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with Rev. Mark McCloy and Rev. Robert Stanley officiating. Interment will be Mayberry (New Home) of Palestine.

Visitation will be Thursday August 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held in Moorefield WV at 2:00 p.m. on August 27 at Moorefield Presbyterian Church.
