WOMAN SHOT IN ROBBERY ATTEMPT - A Cross lanes woman is in critical condition after she was shot during a robbery attempt at the Travelodge motel in Dunbar Thursday.

Police were dispatched to the Travelodge at 4 a.m. to check on reports of gunfire.

They found Courtney Fleming, 27, with a gunshot wound to her buttocks, according to Dunbar Police Chief Earl Whittington.

Police have arrested two Cross Lanes teens, Alicyn Lee Chandler and Joshua Ray Harris, both 18.

Police say Chandler and Harris befriended Fleming Wednesday evening with the intention of getting her drunk, tying her up and robbing her in the motel.

During the robbery, Fleming escaped and was shot by one of the teens.

Chandler and Harris have been charged with felony malicious wounding and armed robbery and are in South Central Regional Jail with bail set at $100,000 each.

KANAWHA SNIPER CHARGED WITH THREE KILLINGS - A Kanawha County Grand Jury has now indicted Shawn Lester for all three 2003 Kanawha County sniper murders.

The victim's, Jeanie Patton, Okey Meadows and Gary Carrier were all shot to death in August 2003 outside gas stations.

The killings were all done with the same rifle.

At first it appeared to be random shootings, but earlier this year Lester was arrested for Patton's killing.

Police are saying there was a meth drug or money link between Lester and the three victims.

The mysterious "Tito" seen in the truck allegedly used in the sniper killings with Lester was also indicted on drug charges.

"Tito," whose name is Gilberto Lopez Reyna is still on the run. Police once believed he'd fled to Mexico.
