CAR CRASHES INTO CREEK BED ON STRAIGHT CREEK - 31-Year-Old Passenger Sent To Hospital

A vehicle crashed off a small bridge on Straight Creek Rd. about midnight Wednesday, sending a 31-year-old unrestrained male passenger to the hospital complaining of back pain.

The vehicle, with a driver and passengers, landed in a creek bed on the narrow country road a few hundred feet off Munday Road near the Calhoun-Wirt line.

The driver or passengers did not appear to have received serious injuries, although a second Calhoun EMS ambulance was called to the scene.

The Grantsville VFD responded to the accident.

Trooper J. E. Kincaid of the WV State Police is investigating the accident.
