PILGRIM'S PRIDE RECALLING CHICKEN NUGGETS SHIPPED TO DOLLAR GENERAL STORES

Pilgrim's Pride Corporation is expanding its chicken nuggets recall from last week, shipped to Dollar General Stores in West Virginia and stores in several other states.

The company said its ready-to-eat chicken products could possibly be contaminated with Listeria Monocytogenes.

The expanded recall involves approximately 7,072 pounds of Pilgrim's Pride Brand Fully Cooked Chicken Breast Nuggets, packaged in two pound bags.

The bags have a best-by date of June 2, 2012 and the UPC number 77013 16224.

The nuggets were made in the company's Mt. Pleasant, Texas plant.

No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported.
