Katherine Nutter Hancock 39 - Elizabeth

Katherine Nutter Hancock 39, of Elizabeth, West Virginia, passed away July 22, 2011 due to a motor vehicle accident.

Kathy was born August 21, 1971 the daughter of William and Patty Nutter of Elizabeth.

She was a 1989 graduate of Wirt County High School and worked for several years at Nashua of Parkersburg WV. She coached the summer softball leagues, Wirt Lady Tigers and Newark Lady Tigers and had been a cheerleading coach for the Wirt Youth Little League. She was a member of the Wirt County Sideliners.

Kathy Loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her parents; her husband, Paul Hancock Jr.; two children, Cole Nutter and Alyssa Smetana both of Elizabeth; 2 stepsons, Dustin Hancock of Parkersburg and Nick Hancock of Sandyville WV; one brother, Jim (Penny Cole) Nutter of Elizabeth; two sisters, Susan (Mike) Lockhart and Brenda (Paul) Roberts all of Elizabeth; father-in-law, Sonny Hancock; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Jackie Nutter; a niece Carrie Nutter Myers; and two great nieces, Haley and Addie Bell Myers.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday July 27 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth with Rev. Delmas Stutler and Rev. John Ruehl officiating. Interment will be at the K of P Cemetery of Elizabeth.

Visitation will be Tuesday July 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
