Edna "Bernice" Cutlip, 85 - Palestine

Edna "Bernice" Cutlip, 85, of Palestine, West Virginia, passed away July 22, 2011 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Roy "Dick" Smith and Winnie Ona Davis. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Clay County. She enjoyed setting on her porch watching traffic, her flowers growing and wildlife, going to auctions, and spending time with her grandchildren. But her greatest enjoyment in life was agitating her sons-in-law. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Butch) Snodgrass of Palestine and Shirley (Dennis) Frame of Birch River WV; 2 grandchildren, Bobbi Moore of Elizabeth WV and Roy (Roberta) Snodgrass of Sarahsville OH; 6 great grandchildren, Travis and Courtney Moore, Ashton Hamersly, AustLynn, Autumn and Robert Snodgrass. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Densil Cutlip and 1 brother, William Joseph Smith. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday July 25 at Douglas Cemetery in Ivy Dale WV with Pastor Mark Lowe officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, July 24 from 6-9 p.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV.
