CHLOE MAN SENTENCED IN SPENCER OVER $550 THEFT

A Calhoun County man charged with burglary of a Spencer apartment has been sentenced to weekends in Central Regional Jail.

Jacob Matthew Harrison, 22, of 351 Grannyshe Run, Chloe, was charged with stealing $550 cash from a Main Street apartment belonging to Frank Christ in 2010.

Harrison pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny, with Roane County prosecutor Josh Downey dropping a felony charge.

Roane magistrate Russell Goodwin also ordered Harrison to pay restitution to the victim.
