State Police have arrested a woman Sunday after trying to mail controlled substances to her husband who is incarcerated in Central Regional Jail in Flatwoods.

Troopers in Braxton County say Christina Dawn Lay, 30 (left) sent envelopes containing tobacco, percocet, and suboxone, a narcotic medication prescribed for opioid dependence, to her husband.

Police say the jail received the envelopes containing the drugs on June 28 and 30.

Her husband, David Jason Lay, 30, of Nicholas County is in CRJ on felony charges.

Lay is charged with transporting a controlled substance into a jail.
