A Braxton County man was arrested Sunday night and taken to Central Regional Jail after he allegedly threatened a police officer and shoved a fire fighter responding to a suicide attempt.

John Carroll Jr., 25, of Sutton, is charged with obstructing a fire fighter, obstructing a police officer, battery on an officer, and assault on an officer.

Authorities said while emergency responders were trying to treat the injured person, Carroll supposedly began making threats towards the trooper, and shoved fire fighters.
