POSSIBLE DELAYS ON RT. 5 BEGINNING TODAY - Paving Project Between Big Bend And Purdy

Calhoun County, WV - West Virginia Division of Highways announces that motorists may experience delays on WV 5, between Big Bend and Purdy, due to a paving project scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 5, according to Michael Foley, District Three Construction Engineer.

The project begins at milepost 6.13 near the junction of Calhoun CR 4, Yellow Creek Road, and ends at milepost 8.48 near the junction of Calhoun County Route 10, Big Root Run Road.

Crews will be working Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day. Motorists shall slow down while traveling though the work zone and observe the direction of the pilot truck and flagging personnel.

Kelly Paving is the contractor for the project, which is scheduled for completion on or before October 14, 2011. However, inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
