Gary E. Lockhart, 55 - Liberty

Gary E. Lockhart, 55 of Liberty, West Virginia, passed away on July 2, 2011.

He was born in Montgomery, Ohio the son of Delbert and Betty (Snodgraft) Lockhart.

He was a 1973 graduate of George Washington High School, served 6 years in the United State Marines, and was a member of the Union Local 128 of South Charleston WV. He was a member of the Apache Motorcycle Club of Lincoln WV, where he served as vice president. He loved his Apache brothers, and enjoyed riding with his best friend, his Dad.

The best and most beautiful things in life cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt within our hearts, God granted me the joy which friendship has brought, let it be said in the end that I have been a friend.

He is survived by both his parents; 3 sons, Nicholas E. Lockhart of Liberty WV, John Eagle of St Albans WV; Michael of Jackson Co. WV; 1 brother, Danny Lockhart of Creston WV; 2 sisters, Vonda (Charles) Spencer of South Charleston WV and Teresa (Allen) Selby of Belle WV.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amilla Lockhart.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 6 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of the service.

Military Graveside service will follow at Pine Twist Cemetery of Elizabeth WV.
