Responders give aid to woman following crash near Hur

Both the driver and passenger of a pick-up truck were taken to hospitals following a crash on Rowels Run, near Hur, Friday evening.

Berea Cooper, about 30, the passenger, was life-flighted from Calhoun Middle-High School to Charleston Area Medical Center, reportedly suffering from head injuries.

The driver, Ray Starcher, was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System for evaluation.

The truck failed to negotiate a sharp curve and crashed into a hillside.

State Police are investigating.
