MT. ZION MAN JAILED FOR PROBATION VIOLATION

(07/02/2011)

A Mt. Zion man, Bobby Allen Nicholas, 35, was sentenced to a year in jail, by Roane County officials, after violating probation.

Nicholas pled guilty to grand larceny for more than $2000 in tools and equipment from trucks parked in the Verizon Building in Spencer in 2007.

He had been placed on probation, but failed to report to his parole officer, and was arrested twice in Calhoun, once on a marijuana charge and once on driving suspended. The court also said he failed to pay restitution.
